The company has a production plant of 60,000 sq ft based at Kilmeena, Westport operating to the standards of EC regulation 852/2004 and 853/2004. We operate a fully integrated Quality Management System that incorporates all of the requirements of the BRC Global Technical Food Standard and Protocol for companies supplying retail, branded food products. Connemara Seafoods cultivates, processes the very best shellfish in one of the most environmentally friendly areas in Europe, on the Atlantic coast, off the West of Ireland. Nature's best is processed in our plant on the shores of Clew bay products are chilled, pasteurised and frozen which include mussels, crab, oysters, clams, winkles etc. All our products are exported to Europe and Asia, primarily to fresh and added value frozen ready meals shellfish wholesalers and distributors in the food service, industrial and retail markets.
