It all started when Franco Simonini, a passionate winemaker, was able to isolate, through also the support of the University of Bologna, the best clone of the noble varieties round the territory: Grasparossa of Castelvetro. Many years later, his nephew Francesco discovered, together with his uncle Massimo, that this was unique in the panorama of the registered clones in the Institute of Viticulture. Thus was born Tenuta Pederzana, which today is a modern company fully integrated into the territory.
