PT. Profil Mitra Abadi (PT.PMA) was established on March 18th 1998. Since then, PT PMA became a pioneer of organic product in Indonesia with the first certified Organic Cashew Raw Whole from Indonesia by IMO Swiss in 2005. PT. PMA firstly was a business consulting firm, provided services for Farmers Training and Farmers Group and its organization development. The aim was to establish a sustainable economic scheme through Human Resource Development and Management Training Partnerships in Agriculture, Forestry and Plantations. As a pioneer in organic products and also based on years of experiences in handling Human Resources Development scheme, PT. PMA started to built the business by elaborating with organic farmers & marketed the organics to International level. The experiences of training the farmers to get involve in certification system run by Institute of Marketology (IMO) was not an easy task. PT. PMA as the mandatory of the certified products, have the responsibility to educate, train, mentoring and conduct routine internal inspection to many selected cashew plantation areas and the farmers to follow the International Standard requirement as set by IMO. This is very challenging task as most farmers in Indonesia, they are with low level of education to understand such as a standard. However, due to the willingness, hard working and full dedication of PT.PMA to the farmers, the hard work was paid off. Our activities create a coaching upstream to downstream agricultural products that will remain sustainable in the long term. The results of product certification, since 2005 up to present, all our organic products partnership with farmers are for export and mostly to Europe and USA market.
